THE BEAUTIFUL HOCKING HILLS

If you are tired of the hustle bustle of the city, come make your home with us. The beautiful Hocking Hills is located in southeast Ohio, approximately 45 miles from Columbus. We like to think of it as everybodys "home town." With the new bypass around the Lancaster area complete, commuting to work in Columbus is a breeze.

Whatever it is that you like, Hocking Hills seems to have it, whether you want to fish on Lake Logan, hike in our beautiful hills to Old Mans Cave, Ash Cave, Cantwell Cliffs, tee off on a championship golf course, take a lazy river canoe ride or just enjoy nature and all our boundless beauty.

Logan is the county seat and is a quaint community of approximately 7500 people. We are growing steadily as Hocking County is the 2nd most visited site in the state due to all our natural beauty. We have wonderful schools and our school district is the Logan-Hocking School District. Our district has several new schools, 4 elementary schools and a new high school are in the Master Plan. We have a fairly new beautiful Middle School. We are 27 miles north of Ohio University, 11 miles to Hocking College, 16 miles to Ohio University Branch in Lancaster, 50 miles to Ohio State and numerous other colleges in the area.

Those of us that live here feel that we have it all. We are an hours drive to Columbus for an evening out or to work, half hour to Lancaster or Athens. Wherever we work, we hurry home to our beautiful, tranquil area. Come join us! We have cozy little inns, chalets or cabins to rent if you want to come for a weekend outing and see what a great place our area would be to call "home."
